my_life be with me
so I've been lazy to update my blog. guilty as charged.
I've done my time in NS and have finally reached my ORD (this is the proper usage, not ORD LOH! that just doesn't make sense grammatically). time is spent looking at tuition agency ads, trying to get some tuition assignments so that i can earn some money even while in university. things are looking bleak of course, but the upside is that i have a job teaching at cat high next year. so that's good.
my time now has been spent reading and trying to prepare myself for the impending doom that is known as standard chartered Singapore marathon, which is taking place this Sunday. hopefully I can survive and walk back home after that grueling run.
I finally found the DVD for the most touching movie of all produced locally: BE WITH ME.
The film is pretty much a silent film, with only less than 3 minutes of dialogue in the whole 93 minute film. It depends much on subtitles, camerawork and post production to get the message across. The... (more)

As every pen has its own cap and that cap is for that pen only, so in the same way there is a special way to inform and educate the different kind of audiences.
The uses and requirement of products and services will be totally different for different audiences. For example a middle class family won’t be requiring a high class luxury sports car, so a sports car advertisement will be wasteful for them. But on the other the advertisement of products like washing machine, small bikes and cars, insurance loans, institutes etc are of their interest.
For the audiences who cannot read and write or are illiterate we cannot make printed ads, but for them we have to communicate the message in a way which is very closely connected with them. The street plays or some songs can be the best way to communicate your message to them.

Something I wrote 2 years ago..
it is the second day of the eleventh month. as my shoes touched the
grass i steadied my umbrella. it is a very hot afternoon. such a
contradiction to my emotion. i stopped my track in front of a 6
year-old grave. silently i said my prayers for the angels of God to
hear.
i opened my eyes again and remembered the young man who gave me his
umbrella one rainy day long time ago. the good times that we had for
the two years that followed. he belong to my treasure of memories. to
my chest of tears and heartaches. to my basket of joys and laughters.
we could have filled much more baskets only if he did not left me
two years after he gave me his umbrella. since then, everyday had been
stormy for me. i used the umbrella he have given me to safeguard myself
from all the catastrophe that kept coming in my young life. but days,
weeks, months, and years have passed and i was finally able to put down
the umbrella and confront life. naked.
